John C.'s son; John.C. French's brothers are Aaron and Jonathan.
Their parents, Moses and Mrs. French (possibly nee Congleton) are " Sussex natives".& of
"Scotch /Irish" descent. (I believe this descent is MATERNAL)
Aaron goes to Chemung, NY. Jonathan moves to Maumee River, Ohio.

Per Marion Scherer:Jeremiah French enlisted in the Continental Army at Sandiston, Sussex County, NY.
He is on a Revolutionary war vet. list as:
French, Jeremiah. Captain Westbrook's company, Third Battalion, Sussex; also Continental Army.
He mustered out of the Army and was in the Shamokin, PA area during the 1790
Census
1774 Newton Twp. Henry Frensh, on Taxpayer list.
1775 (inferred from census) Richard born. Richard is apparently not a son of Moses. He could be a cousin,
brother,nephew. That he is related is proven by DNA.

DAVID FRENCH came from Connecticut Farms, now Union, and settled about one mile east of David Smalley's, Esq. He had a
brother, John French, who lived where Thomas Conn now does, who sold out to Mr. Conn, and went to the lakes, New York. David
French married, 30th May, 1776, Sarah Willcox, daughter of William, son of Peter Willcocks, Sen., and had children: (2d Generation.)

children. NOTE: Catherine married John Fogarty; Is she a sister rather than a child?
